Rhian Penford
I've spent 18 years in this field, most of it at some of London's leading specialist centres, including St Mark's Hospital and King's College Hospital, where I was Clinical Lead. Now I see women privately at my Formby clinic and by telehealth across the UK.

My story
Why I do this
I want to reach as many women as I can round here, especially the ones struggling quietly who haven't felt able to ask for help. Leaking, pain, heaviness and bowel problems can shape where you go and what you do. Most of the women I've treated got better, and every one of them wished they'd known sooner that help was out there.
Why Formby
I moved back north to raise my three children here. That changed where I work, not what I know. The same specialist care I gave in London is now on your doorstep, without the waiting list or train fare.
How I work
Appointments are private and unhurried. I listen first, explain what's going on so you understand your body, and build a plan around you, your life and your goals.
